The Public Library of Johnston County and Smithfield is
participating with libraries nationwide to host a teen lock in as part of
National Library Lock In night throughout the night on Friday, August 1st.
Patrons between the ages of 12 and 18 are invited to spend the night in the
library and play games, chat with authors online, enter contests, and hang
out. Teens must register in advance as space is limited. Teens and
parents must fill out a permission slip. Permission slips may be picked
up at the library reference desk. Permission slips must be turned in by July 28th.
